Suicide Squad

My husband and I watched Suicide Squad on our date night. My husband has been wanting to watch the movie since premier night but we only got the chance last night.

The story revolves around 5 imprisoned villains. They are all highly profiled murderers and gangsters. I will not pretend to understand and know every single detail of the story. I do not even know who these characters are until I watched the movie and except the given that they are the “bad guys”. The goverment used them to stop the evil enchantress and her brother from destroying mankind. In the end, these evil guys became the good guys and even if they claim to be the bad guys, clearly they still have a part of them that is good.

I realized that God’s economy is somewhat the same. He used, use and will use ordinary people, even bad people, to do His work and for His glory. God does not favor the famous, the rich, not even His followers to complete His task. He favors each and every one of us and will use you and me to spread His word.

So if you are in a situation where you feel that you are nothing, hopeless or helpless, do not allow yourself to be in that place. You are favored and God will bring the good out of the mess you are in.

Oh and one more thing, in the movie, after the suicide squad completed their task they were only given 10 years less of imprisonment. In real life, Jesus already completed the task. He died for your sins and mine. He became the sole suicide squad to save us. God gave us His gift of eternal life through Jesus. It is up to you if want to receive His gift. 🙂
